Apart from some packages in our special offers section, like most web development companies, we do not have a set price list based on a 'per page' rate - this is because other than small basic 'online brochure' type sites which typically share common features, each design and development we prepare for a client is a unique match to their business or organisation. Graphical and technical requirements, (such as design of Flash introductions, audio or video files, development or integration of databases, back-end systems, reporting systems, e-commerce, training and marketing work) will vary enormously from project to project. However, we do offer excellent value for money for three main reasons: 1) We focus on getting your website to work for you and bring you in business as quickly as possible, so it pays for itself early on and quickly gets you into profit on your investment. 2) You can spread the cost of your website with interest-free payments (in most cases, subject to minimum terms and conditions, although we reserve the right to refuse this in some instances). This can make your website development more affordable, and means your site can generally start bringing you in more business and paying for itself before you finish paying for it. The best way to price your project is just to talk to us about what you think you need, want, and can afford. Once we understand your business or organisation, and what it is that will help you online, we can very quickly provide an indicative quote. Do cheap websites offer Value for Money?Would you like the good news or the better news? The good news is - We DON'T build 'cheap websites'. Now you might think that's actually the bad news in disguise, but the reality is, for your business, cheap rarely translates to 'cheerful', professional or economical in the long run. However, we do offer affordable websites that represent excellent value for money. Cheap websites may look acceptable or even pretty at first glance, but typically have very poor design, technical underpinings or backend programming (which means features of the site simply may not work, or suffer from lots of error messages and browser incompatabilities). Low-cost sites rarely perform well in search engine rankings, (because they haven't been designed and optimised properly) so they're won't bring you in business, typically have poor usability and design, often suffer from 'disappearing developers' just when you need them to update, (or even finish!) the site, may be based on pre-designed templates which are sold many times over with minimal alteration (so your 'exclusive design' or logo could be popping up on your competitors site very soon!) or they may have a host of 'hidden costs' (like locking you into expensive hosting or update contracts) instead of offering a choice of webhosts. The rarely include CMS (content management systems) for those who would prefer to manage their own updates without feeling a sharp pain in the wallet every time they need to change a small detail on their site. 'Caveat Emptor' (let the buyer beware!) holds true with website development just as with every other purchase. The old phrase 'the cheap thing is the expensive thing in the long run' is usually true when it comes to website design and online marketing. However, at Meerkat, we are in the business of being highly competitive, ethical and clear with our pricing once we've discussed your requirements in detail (and before you commit to anything that requires you parting with your hard-earned, (begged, stolen or borrowed!) cash. And the better news? We DO develop high quality, purpose-built websites that will deliver an excellent ROI (return on investment) and help you significantly promote, enhance and grow your business. That means we always strive to provide the best fit of features to match your desired outcome, deadlines and yes, budget. Having planted several varieties with no joy, we really DO know that money doesn't grow on trees, for anyone..our clients included! In summary - we do charge reasonable, sensible rates for our professional services ..but we also believe that 'fleecing' is best left to shepherds' !
